Pladsen presents the exhibition Deep End. This title is taken from a J.G. Ballard short story describing an alternative present or nearby future, shortly after total disaster. Reality is turned into a place, where basic existential levels dissolve to make alternative constellations. Deep End shows works by AVPD, Troels Sandegård, and Jacob Jessen. Among other things these artists are dealing with concrete and technological displacements, poetic microscopy and accelerated material deformation. On the basis of convergent interests in science fiction, entropy, and a form of mediation focused on process, they try, each in their own way, to specify intangible scales and to materialize otherwise inaccessible data.
